After a bit of an issue with one of my WordPress sites, I noticed that the versions I had been running had become very long in the tooth.  There were many vulnerabilities with the older version, and one had been exploited so it was time for an upgrade.  The upgrades were done for all sites, and were truly painless.  One gotcha I found though – was that I had been running the MySQL db on a very old Ubuntu 5.04 host, and the MySQL version was too old to support the upgrade of WordPress.  So I had to migrate all the db’s out of the old MySQL host, into a newer DB on a newer host.  After doing that, things went pretty smooth.
